Inspiration of the Week
This is our new thing Monday evenings, before dinner whilst the children be wonderful and quiet we get a yoga session in. Yesterday while I wasn't feeling and wasting the day on Pinterest and FB I saw that my friend Julie posted this beautiful yoga video... the best part was the messed up bed with the her man still snoozing away, teehee.
On the serioius side, I just was so inspired by her strength and it motivates me to think about each pose while I am in it and to better myself for myself ... So enjoy and I hope you find some inner peace this week! Cheers!
Running on Empty
I just got done reading an article out Runner's World, entitled "Running on Empty". It was a beautifully written get real article about people that train/ start training for athletic events and find themselves with disordered eating. This is not to be confused with eating disorders. The meaning of disordered eating is when one becomes obsessed about the food they ingest and results they get from it. Disordered eating includes increased meal replacement bars/coffee drinks instead of an actual meal, having a good food/bad food list and punishing yourself dipping into the latter, and excluding certain food groups from you life. This can lead to problems in social situations, and eventually lead to eating disorders. Anyone that has lost any amount of weight usually straddles the line between normal eating and disordered eating on any given day. It is so hard to indulge ones self when you have worked so hard to achieve a goal... anyway what I took away from the article was, none of us for the most part are winning any medals, so just enjoy the run for the run don't slap yourself for eating those french fries, "enjoy the wind in your ears rather than the complaints of your body."
So if you get a chance read it, it really inspired me to just love me today.
I am focusing heavily on micornutrients, making sure I fuel my body with rich nutritious foods, and allowing myself some awesome carbs through the week for the soon to be longer and longer runs... I watched this documentary and LOVED it, I loved the second man better than the first because I know he struggled a lot to get where he did. Again, I take what I want from these sort of things and incorporate in to my life.

How is that marathon training going you ask? I am slowly building up, making sure I don't put too much on myself to early. I am using Hal Higdon's 1/2 Marathon Training Program for a about 6 weeks and then switching to the Full Marathon Training in March. It should be just right. Thankfully I have a wonderful friend that watches Ethan an hour at a time, and Josh loves to let me go running because I come back excited about everything in general, and I tend to bake so it's a win/win.
This week I had those goals in the back of my mind and accomplished most of them! I did start bodyrocktv and do like and it has it's purpose but I can't seem to get it to flow in my schedule so I will keep up with what I am doing currently. If you are interested please go to http://www.bodyrock.tv/
P.S I decided I am done weighing myself for a long time, the fluctuation in usually due to water/food/elevation and my mind just doesn't handle fluctuation well. I am totally happy with the results right now. So it will stay tucked neatly in it's dungeon until I feel like I want to see it.

Inspiration of the Week
Heads up there are explicits in this, I put this on repeat and picture all these guys just going to they drop! Border line abuse, but I think it's using every bit of the gift of the body you have. Get some!
New Years
Okay so we are 20 days in and I haven't blogged once! AH! I have so many ideas that are whirling around in my head. I am excited about today, one it's a snow day, two it's really the start of my New Year. So here is my New Year's Resolution. Make a new goal evey week. This worked so well. I love moneysavingmom.com as she breaks them down to personal, family, financial LOVE IT! I am going to give it a go.
So first things first...
Remember those pounds I lost, well guess what? I found them, poor little pumpkins were so scared they jumped right back on my hips. So goal next week lose 2-3 lbs. I am not to surprised as we went from eating out maybe twice a month to every day for a week. Those little celebration calories add up quick!
Mmmmmm... I wish I was that chic that just didn't eat it, but I'm not. With that being said it could have been worse I did manage a few workouts and I did manage a PR of 4miles at under 32 minutes. I was well rested, it was flat, and I don't think it will happen again for a while. I have lost A LOT of mileage in the last few weeks. The dark has created a problem... I don't like running it. It feels unsafe and it makes me feel vulnerable. I guess it really hit me after the news released what happened to Sharry Arnold. My heart is broken for she and her family. I will be running with mace, as it is prudent. I won't stop running because of it either. I don't understand that kind of evil, but pray for her family's comfort. To read more please see this article http://billingsgazette.com/news/state-and-regional/montana/update-sidney-teacher-confirmed-dead-man-in-custody/article_b790975b-6616-5692-93bb-8a49b43a53c2.html I think all women need to be aware of there surroundings, always tell someone where you are going and approximate time you will be back. Buy that mace too.
So on a lighter note.
